Product Details

VRSIH housed spring isolators are high-performance vibration control units designed to deliver substantial deflection while maintaining structural restraint. Each unit incorporates large-diameter, laterally stable steel springs housed within a fabricated steel enclosure to prevent excessive movement and ensure safe operation under dynamic, seismic, or wind-induced conditions.

The spring assembly is mounted between precision-engineered top and bottom load plates. The upper plate includes integrated leveling bolts, locknuts, and washers for accurate equipment alignment and secure attachment. The bottom plate features a non-skid neoprene isolation pad and bolt provisions for anchoring to the supporting structure.
  • Light-Duty Models: Equipped with molded neoprene bottom load plates, these units offer effective vibration damping and acoustic isolation for lower load applications.
  • Heavy-Duty Models: For higher capacity requirements, springs are welded to reinforced steel bottom plates with bonded neoprene pads to enhance vibration attenuation and minimize structure-borne noise.
  • Spring Geometry: Spring diameter-to-compressed height ratio maintained at a minimum of 0.8, ensuring lateral stability and consistent deflection.
  • Corrosion Protection: Springs are epoxy powder-coated and rated for 1000-hour salt spray resistance, suitable for harsh or outdoor environments.
  • Acoustic Isolation: Neoprene friction pads act as sound breaks, effectively reducing high-frequency vibration transmission.
  • Isolation Efficiency: Vibration isolation performance exceeds 95%, ideal for noise-sensitive and precision equipment installations.
  • Structural Integration: Bottom plates include bolt provisions for secure anchoring to the building structure.
  • Stability Assurance: Lateral stiffness exceeds 1.0 times the rated vertical stiffness, ensuring reliable performance under multi-directional loads.
  • Overload Capacity: Springs are rated to accommodate a minimum of 50% overload and remain structurally safe at solid height compression.

VRSIH isolators shall consist of free-standing, large-diameter steel springs with lateral stiffness greater than the rated vertical stiffness and a minimum overload capacity of 50%. Springs shall be mounted between top and bottom load plates, with the upper plate incorporating leveling bolts, locknuts, and washers for equipment attachment. Bottom plates shall include non-skid neoprene isolation pads and bolt provisions for structural anchoring.

Where required, isolators shall be enclosed in fabricated steel housings with integrated vertical restraints, neoprene snubbers, or internal pads to limit movement and prevent metal-to-metal contact. All housings shall be corrosion-resistant, finished with powder coating, electroplating, or galvanization. Spring elements shall be powder-coated and, where non-welded, rated for salt spray resistance. Springs shall be color-coded or clearly marked for load identification. Selection shall be based on the static deflections specified in the Vibration Isolation Schedule or project documentation.

VRSIH housed spring isolators are designed to eliminate structure-borne noise and vibration from floor-mounted mechanical equipment. Their restrained design makes them particularly effective for low-speed machinery and installations requiring movement control under dynamic conditions.

When properly selected and installed, VRSIH isolators offer superior performance in mitigating vibration and noise transmission, contributing to equipment longevity, occupant comfort, and acoustic integrity.
Rotary Equipment: Pumps, rotary wheels, and propeller-driven systems HVAC Systems: Packaged air handling units, air conditioning modules, and fan coil assemblies Fan Assemblies: Centrifugal and axial fans across varied speed ranges Compressors & Engines: Reciprocating chillers, air compressors, and internal combustion engines
These isolators are engineered to accommodate the dynamic characteristics of each equipment type, ensuring stable support while effectively decoupling vibration energy from the building structure.
Significant reduction in structure-borne vibration and noise Enhanced equipment performance and reduced mechanical wear Improved acoustic conditions for sensitive environments Safe and stable operation under dynamic or seismic loads Broad compatibility across diverse mechanical systems
